Winter Weather Advisory Issued

The National Weather Service has issued Winter Weather Advisories areawide for light snow accumulations expected. Warm surface temperatures will initially cause the falling snow to melt, but as air and ground temps cool rapidly, some accumulation is possible.

We already have snow developing to our west this morning, and this will continue to expand in coverage throughout the day.

We generally expect 1 to 2 inches of accumulation across our area. Don’t be surprised to see isolated higher amounts in some locations. We continue to watch the morning models come in. The overnight models ramped amounts up a good bit.

For comparison purposes only, I have the Baron, HRRR, NAM3k and the GFS models below.
