Warm weather this week. Rain chances by Thursday.

A few high clouds can be found across the area today, but we are otherwise mostly sunny and warm. Temperatures this afternoon are in the mid and upper 70s, and it will be even warmer as we head through the next few days.

High pressure keeps a firm grip on our forecast through Wednesday. Clouds will gradually increase into midweek, but the warm weather isn't going anywhere. We will actually be into the low to mid 80s areawide for both Tuesday and Wednesday! It's definitely going to feel like mid to even late spring across the Valley.

Rain chances can't be too far away this time of year though, and they will return by Thursday. A storm system departing to our north will drag a weakening cold front into the area. Showers and thunderstorms are likely from Thursday morning into the evening hours. Fortunately, the ingredients for a severe weather risk do not appear to be lining up with this system. The front moves through late Thursday night with decreasing clouds on Friday. Temperatures cool off a little behind the front, especially overnight, but afternoon highs remain in the 70s. Overall, the weather for this week doesn't look too bad at all!
