Spotty storm chances through the remainder of the week
The sunshine is back for us here in the Tennessee Valley after a gloomy couple of days. Storm chances remain, but they are spotty at best for the next few days. I can't rule out a storm this afternoon, but chances are slim. Highs will be in the lower 90s if you've had a sunny morning, or upper 80s if the morning has been cloudy.

Storm chances increase slightly tomorrow. I'll give it a 30% chance, but models have Wednesday trending drier. With that trend in mind, it wouldn't surprise me if we see fewer storms on radar than what Futurecast is predicting. A storm complex will approach the Tennessee Valley from the west Thursday, but I think it weakens before it arrives. We will still get scattered thunderstorms, but I think the line of storms will not be as stout once it arrives.
Scattered afternoon storm chances remain in the forecast for Friday and through the Weekend. The evening and overnight hours should remain dry. Additionally, we are not looking at a threat for severe storms through the forecast period. We will experience typical summertime thunderstorms. Heavy rain, frequent lightning and strong wind gusts are always possible with a thunderstorm.
Thanks to daily rain chances, temperatures in the Tennessee Valley will stay around average for the next week or so. Cloud cover will help keep temperatures in the upper 80s to lower 90s at best. Heat indices should not get warmer than 102°. It'll definitely feel hot and muggy outside, but this heat will not prompt an advisory
