Showers and storms continue throughout this week. Holiday weekend looks iffy for now.

Generally, we have been experiencing mostly muggy weather with damp conditions and warmer temperatures ranging from the 70s to the 80s. While the rain has been great for our plants, it has dampened our spirits as it started to feel a little gloomy outside. Thankfully, this week will be drier compared to last week. However, there is still a chance for scattered showers and storms across the region throughout this week so it’s a good idea to hold on to your rain gear just in case.

Today, there is a chance for scattered showers and storms in the afternoon which will be approaching from the southeast. Other than rain showers, skies will be mainly cloudy today. Temperatures will peak in the mid to upper 70s, with some places experiencing 80 degree weather. If you plan on attending 8th grade graduation today, bring your rain jacket just in case you encounter a shower or storm. Tonight, it’s the perfect sleeping weather with lingering showers and temps falling to the upper 50s and lower 60s. Tomorrow, scattered showers will continue throughout the day with mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures will peak in the mid to upper 70s again and fall to the 60s that night.

It will be a little warmer Wednesday and temperatures will reach the upper 70s to lower 80s. There is a chance for isolated showers and storms throughout the day, but otherwise, the skies will remain mostly cloudy. If you have to go outdoors, don’t forget your rain gear. Wednesday night, temps will fall to the 60s and the muggy weather will start to clear out as we approach Thursday.

Thursday is the day to have fun and get things done. Whether you need to run errands or simply want to spend some time outdoors, Thursday is the perfect day for that. We can expect dry conditions and partly cloudy skies. The GFS model is hinting at the chance for rain Thursday, but at this time our forecast remains at a 10% chance. Daytime temps will be similar to Wednesday, but due to the reduced cloud coverage, the night may be slightly cooler and temps will drop to the upper 50s and lower 60s.

Moving on to the weekend, the chance for showers and storms return on Friday and Saturday. Daily temperatures are expected to peak in the upper 70s and lower 80s. Throughout the weekend low temps are expected to fall to the upper 50s and lower 60s. Friday showers and storms are scattered and continue into Saturday. Dry conditions and cloudy skies are expected on Sunday. so if you’re looking for the best day for weekend plans, Sunday looks like the best day.

Overall, it's expected to be relatively drier compared to last week with warm temperatures in the 70s and 80s. However, don't put away your rain gear because showers and storms are here to stay this week. If you are looking for the best day for plans outdoors, I would pick either Thursday, or Sunday. Our nighttime temperatures this week are expected to drop to the upper 50s and 60s.
