Planning your weekend? Hot temperatures are a guarantee
We made it to the weekend! You can expect plenty of sunshine and the heat is not going anywhere. I will say, it will feel less humid outside today and tomorrow, but with air temperatures near 100°, it'll feel hot outside no matter what.
The weekend is looking dry. A pop-up shower or storm wouldn't shock me Sunday afternoon.

However, chances are slim at best. Highs in the mid to upper 90s both days. More clouds in the sky Sunday. If you have any outdoor plans, do them early in the day or late in the evening if possible. If you'll be outside mid-day, stay hydrated and apply sunscreen.
Monday is when a more decent rain chance returns to the forecast. It's just a 20% chance, but it begins a stretch of daily afternoon storm chances for the week ahead.
Thankfully, heat indices don't look to get too high over the next several days. However, a heat advisory issuance wouldn't surprise me, either for any given day.

To wrap it all up: heat stays with us for the next week, dry this weekend, and rain chances return Monday. The best chance of rain for the Tennessee Valley is Tuesday into Wednesday.
