Nice for now. Showers and a few storms expected this weekend.
Good Wednesday afternoon! Today has had a nice mixture of sun and clouds but rain is staying away, at least for now. The rest of today will be pleasant. Lows tonight will get into the mid to upper 40s under a clear sky.

The rest of the work-week looks great. A mix of sun and clouds for Thursday and Friday, with temps very pleasant in the mid 70s. We couldn't ask for better weather for the beginning of November. No, I'm not speaking too soon, we do have weekend rain chances to discuss.

A weakening cold front will approach the Tennessee Valley Saturday, bringing with it a few showers and thunderstorms. While folks well to our west will deal with severe weather from this system, we don't have to worry about that. The broken line of showers and storms will weaken as it marches eastward toward the Tennessee Valley. Yes, thunder and lightning is possible with a locally heavy downpour or two, but we aren't worried about much else. As for the timing, many models have rain beginning mid morning saturday. The models also have the front stalling out overhead through the remainder of the weekend. This doesn't mean a weekend of non-stop rain. The system will lose moisture as time goes on, so it'll just be a matter of a few showers by the time we get to Sunday.
Right now, the models are keeping the progression of the system a bit foggy, so we'll hold at a 50% chance of rain during the day Saturday. Rain chances will gradually decrease as Sunday night nears. In short, highest rain chance is Saturday morning, and the lowest rain chance is Sunday night. Temperatures hold in the 70s but I think Saturday will be the coolest of them all with an overcast sky all day, with maybe a peek or two of sunshine.
Don't forget, we FALL BACK this weekend! Woohoo, extra hour of sleep!
