More Strong To Severe Storms On Monday

Another disturbance will ride down the front into our area Monday sparking new thunderstorms during the afternoon and evening hours. Like today, the atmosphere will be very unstable. The Storm Prediction Center already has all of the coverage area under a Level 1 of 5 risk of severe weather for Monday.
It would not shock me at all if the area is upgraded to a Level 2 risk in the next outlook or two that comes out late tonight or early tomorrow morning. Unlike today, because of the remnant outflow boundary from today's storms being parked across the area, we will have just a touch more wind shear in place. In addition to another threat of damaging winds of 60+ mph and hail in excess of quarter size, we also won't be able to 100% rule out a spin-up tornado or two. The overall tornado threat for tomorrow will be low for sure, but it won't be completely zero either.
We will be right here tomorrow to track the storms and have live updates if severe weather threatens...
