Mid-week pick-me-up: pleasant weather before an unsettled holiday weekend
A stormy start to the week is making way for an incredible mid-week weather setup. A cold front is pushing south through the Tennessee Valley, taking with it moisture and humidity. We will be left with warm temperatures still, but it'll feel much better and we will have nothing but a blue sky for a few days. Expect highs in the upper 80s, but dew points will be comfortable in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Thank you, high pressure!

I wish I could say this trend continues, but unfortunately rain chances return just in time for Labor Day weekend. Moisture will be sandwiched overhead between a front to our north and south. It's mostly afternoon storm chances and at this time, there is no day that looks like a washout. Don't cancel any holiday weekend plans, but be prepared for a storm or two. Highs for the first part of the weekend will be around 90 degrees with humidity rising each day.
Temperatures cool off into the mid 80s by Sunday, I think we will see more clouds than sun by then. Again, no day this weekend looks to be a complete washout just yet. Hopefully rain chances remain scattered and weekend activities are unperturbed. Until then, enjoy Wednesday and Thursday!
