Let's give a nice, warm welcome to drier weather to end the week.

If you've spent this week tirelessly searching for some sunshine, your search will come to an end soon. Our last round of rain (for now, of course) is getting on out of the Tennessee Valley this afternoon. Clouds will hang around for tonight, and then that big bright ball in the sky will show itself once again tomorrow.

Temps will get below freezing tonight, but the good news is any wet roads should dry up rather quickly, because winds will be blowing 10-20 mph out of the north. We'll wake up to a few clouds in the morning but expect a nice day with plenty of sunshine for Friday. It'll be a little chilly with highs around 40. Saturday will be warmer, with afternoon temps around 50.

Our weather stays pretty calm for the next several days (sigh of relief). Aside from a few showers possible Tuesday, our next decent chance at rain and maybe a few thunderstorms comes later next week. The GFS has been placing the rain on Thursday, and the ECMWF model is trending closer and closer to Thursday with each run. We'll keep an eye on this weather system over the next several days.

Okay now that we've got rain chances out of the way, I have some more fantastic news. No typos on the temp trend graphic, we really are expecting to warm into the 60s next week!

Again, we will be dry for the next several days, just in time for the weekend. Expect some thunderstorms towards the middle of next week, we'll fine tune that forecast as we get closer.
