Heat stays this Weekend!

It's hot in the big town today! We're sitting in the low 90s all across the Valley, with heat indexes closing in on 100 quickly. Dewpoints are on the decrease, interestingly, and will help keep heat indexes at least somewhat close to the air temperatures through today. We look to stay dry for the rest of today, so the story remains heat!

Overnight, we clear out, and we don't get very cool - only low 70s for the "cool" spots, with most of us humid and mid-70s. This is typical for this time of year, and as previously mentioned, this usually comes at the cost of being highly humid, often with humidity near 100%

Through tomorrow afternoon, we make our way back to the 90s, but some of us may get a shower or two in NW AL through the afternoon. S TN looks to stay dry, though you can never rule out a surprise shower or storm with hot days in the summer like this. More than likely, however, we'll stay mostly dry and hot once again, though it appears some relief may be inbound.

This relief may be inbound Monday night and chiefly into Tuesday, as some precipitation associated with a clashing front to our north kicks off across the Valley (especially in Middle TN, though everyone is in play). Nothing too significant is expected, but you'll want to make sure you aren't caught outside in a storm, so watch Tuesday closely!

In fact, the entire week has *some* chance at rainy weather. Hopefully, this is a sign of things to come - we certainly need the rain. Alongside this lingers 90s, but head indexes are on the rise due to increasing humidity. To summarize: heat advisories may continue into midweek, rain is on and off possible... yep, it's definitely July!
