Feeling good on this Friday? It's feeling pretty good outside. Temperatures are hot but dew points are in the 60s, making it feel bearable outside for mid-July. Expect highs in the low to mid 90s this afternoon. A stray shower or storm possible, and that chance continues overnight but the majority of us stay dry.
The first half of the weekend will be quiet and hot. Highs Saturday will be in the mid 90s with heat indices near 100°. A stray shower is once again possible Saturday afternoon, but most stay dry.
We are keeping an eye on storm chances Sunday and Monday. For now, we are not concerned about a severe weather threat, but we will monitor the system throughout the weekend and make note of any changes. Expect scattered storms Sunday afternoon and continuing into the overnight hours. Widespread storms are expected Monday. We're looking at the potential for heavy rainfall and maybe a few stout wind gusts. Again, we will keep you updated on the storm threat.
In the next few days, temperatures will definitely be on the warm side. However, with the incoming storm system, we will see a slight cool-off thanks to clouds blocking out the sun. Temperatures warm back up to the low to mid 90s by midweek under partly cloudy skies. Heat indices will reach 105° by Wednesday.
Once that storm system moves out, we start to dry out Tuesday with just an isolated rain chance.
