A wonderful weekend of weather before rain chances return

Whoever put in an order for a picture perfect weekend, we thank you kindly! Gorgeous weather for the Tennessee Valley over the next few days. All we have to worry about is a few passing clouds and preventing a sunburn. the sky will stay mostly sunny to partly cloudy through the end of Sunday.

The rest of today is looking fantastic. After a stormy week, a nice break is much needed.

Temperatures will warm into the mid 80s this afternoon across the Tennessee Valley. Again, the craziest thing that will happen today is a few clouds passing through during the afternoon. We cool off nicely into the 70s this evening, and lower 60s overnight! A handful of upper 50s wouldn't shock me Saturday morning.

Don't worry about any chance for rain this weekend. All outdoor plans get the green light. However, it will be pretty warm Sunday afternoon, so keep that in mind. It won't be terribly humid so I'm not concerned about heat indices, but 90° is still 90°!

The weekend stays dry, but all good things must come to an end.

Unless you're still hoping for more rain, then next week's forecast is good news for you! Daily afternoon rain chances return every day next week. Rain coverage doesn't look widespread at this time, simply a return to a typical summertime thunderstorm pattern.

Here's some more good news if you're tired of the summer heat. The Climate Prediction Center's temperature outlook for August 18-22 shows a 60-70% chance of below-average temperatures. I'll gladly take those odds! The average high temperature for Lawrenceburg in August is about 89°, so that means late next week will likely be cooler than that!

As usual, I will leave you with the 7 day forecast. The weekend looks fantastic. Throw your rain gear back in rotation Monday, you you'll want to keep it around all week. Temperatures in the mid to even low 80s are possible by mid week, but I fear that may come at the cost of gloomy weather. Keep checking back in with us about next week's rain chances.
