Clear in North Alabama - but a Bit Flooded

All right. The tornado warning was allowed to expire and was not renewed. Very marginal threat of severe weather in Northeast Alabama just a little bit longer, but there is a strong tornado believed to be affecting Chilton/Coosa Counties in Central Alabama. I'm handing that one off to www.alabamawx.com. I only tracked that storm from Tuscaloosa until it fizzled around Gadsden because I had an ominous "spidey sense" feeling about it and was slightly concerned it might (if it moved a bit more northeast) make it up into our area. At this point, there is flash flooding around Huntsville and points east. Also down as far south as Cullman County.

And again, tornado emergency for Clanton. This could be a strong to violent tornado. Get to a storm shelter, basement, or a small interior room/hallway on the lowest floor of your home. Do not stay in a mobile home or a vehicle. As a last resort (if you really have to), get in a ditch and cover your head. Cover your head, in any case. It's way out of our area, but man, it looks bad down there.
